நெல்சன் மண்டேலா 1918 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுலை மாதம் 18 ஆம் தேதி தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவிலுள்ள குலுகிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார். இவரது தந்தை சோசா பழங்குடி இன மக்கள் தலைவர் இவரின் தந்தைக்கு நான்குமனைவிகள். 4 ஆண்களும் 9 பெண்களுமாக 13 பிள்ளைகள். மூன்றாவது மனைவிக்கு மகனாகப் பிறந்தவர்தான் மண்டேலா. இவரின் முழுப்பெயர் ‘நெல்சன் ரோபிசலா மண்டேலா’. நெல்சன் மண்டேலா என்றே பொதுவாக அழைப்பார்கள்.
அந்தக் குடும்பத்திலிருந்து முதன் முதலில் பள்ளி சென்ற மண்டேலா, இளம் வயதில் ஆடு மாடு மேய்த்துக்கொண்டே பள்ளிக்கூடத்தில் படித்தார். போர் புரியும் கலைகளையும் பயின்றார். இவரின்பெயரின் முன்னால் உள்ள “நெல்சன்” இவர் கல்வி கற்ற முதல் பள்ளியின் ஆசிரியரினால் சூட்டப்பட்டது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. கல்வியறிவைப் பெறுவதில் பெரிதும் நாட்டம் கொண்ட மண்டேலா, லண்டன் மற்றும் தென்னாப்பிரிக்கா பல்கலைக்கழகங்களிலும் பட்டப்படிப்பை படித்தார். அதே நேரத்தில் சட்டக்கல்வியும் படித்தார். ஒரு சுரங்க பாதுகாப்பு அதிகாரியாகவும், தோட்ட முகவராகவும் பணியாற்றிவந்தார். அப்போது ‘நோமதாம் சங்கர்’ என்ற செவிலியரைத் திருமணம்செய்து கொண்டார் மண்டேலா.
அரசியல் பிரவேசம்
ஆபிரிக்க தேசிய காங்கிரஸ் இயக்கத்தில் தீவிரமாக ஈடுபட்டு இருந்ததால் மனைவிக்கும் அவருக்கும் இடையே கருத்து வேறுபாடு ஏற்பட்டது. பின்னர் தென்னாப்பிரிக்க அரசு, ஆபிரிக்க தேசிய காங்கிரஸ்கட்சியைத் தடை செய்தது. மண்டேலா மீது வழக்கு தொடரப்பட்டது. ஐந்தாண்டுகளாக அந்த வழக்குவிசாரணை நடந்து கொண்டு இருந்தபோது 1958-ஆம் ஆண்டு ‘வின்னி மடிகி லேனா’ என்பவரை மணந்தார்.வின்னி தனது கணவரின் கொள்கைகளுக்காகப் போராடி வந்தார். மண்டேலாவுக்கு முதல் மனைவி மூலம் 3குழந்தைகளும் 2வது மனைவி மூலம் 2 குழந்தைகளும் உள்ளனர்
பின்பு நெல்சன் மண்டேலா. தான் எப்படியான வழிகளில் போராட வேண்டும் என்ற சிந்தனை அவரின் ஆழ் மனதை திருகி திருகி விடை தேட வைத்தது.. அதன் பிரதி பலனே அவர் அறவழிப்போராட்டாத்தை முதலில் கையில் எடுக்கிறார்
தென்னாப்பிரிக்கா நாட்டு வெள்ளைக்காரர்களின் கையில் இருந்த நிலையில்.. தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவில் வெள்ளையர்களை விட கறுப்பு இனமக்கள் முதன்மையாக வாழ்கிற நாடு.
1931ம் ஆண்டுடில் நெல்சன் மண்டேலாவுக்கு வயது 21. அந்த கால கட்டம் மிகவும் ஆபத்தாக இருந்தது என்றும் அறிந்தும் கூட கறுப்பின இளைஞர்களை ஒன்றினைத்து தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவில் மாபெரும் இளைஞர் அணியை உருவாக்கி அதன் வழி தனது அறவழி போராட்டம் பற்றி சொல்லுகிறார்.
கல்வி மறுக்கப்டுகிறது. நில உரிமை மறுக்கப்படுகிறது. குடியுரிமை மறுக்கப்படுகிறது.வாக்களிக்கும் உரிமை மறுக்கப்படுகிறது.. இப்படியாக தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவில் உள்ள கறுப்பின மக்கள் வேதனையில் துடித்தார்கள். வெள்ளைக்கார்களின் செயலை தட்டிக்கேட்கும் கறுப்பின தலைவராக தனது முகத்தை உலக அரங்கில் பறைசாற்றுகிறார்.
தென்னாப்பிர்க்க கறுப்பின இளைஞர்கள் மட்டுமா மட்டேலாவின் பக்கம் இல்லவே இல்ல தன்னுடன் படித்த பல்கலைகழக உறுப்பினர்களும் சேர்ந்தார்கள் அதில் முதன்மையாக விளங்குபவர்தான் ஒலிவர்ரம்போவும் இவரின் தலைமையில் கறுப்பின மக்களுக்கான புதிய சட்டம் வகுக்கப்படுகிறது.
போராட்டகாலம் அதன் பின்பு கறுப்பின மக்களுக்கு வெள்ளளையர்கள் செய்யும் துன்பம் தாங்கமுடியாமால் கொதித்து எழுகிறார் அப்போது வன்முறைகள் வெடிக்கிறது. அதைக்கண்ட வெள்ளைக்கார்கள் அரசுக்கும் நாட்டுக்கும் எதிராக மக்களை எழுச்சி செய்த குற்றத்துக்காக 1956இல் வெள்ளைகார்களால் சிறையில் அடைக்கப்படுகிறார் மண்டேலா சிறையில் இருந்த பொழுதும் அவரால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட இளைஞர்கள் கிளந்து எழுந்தார்கள். ஆபிரிக்க தேசிய காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியில் உள்ளவர்களும் வெகுண்டு எழுந்தார்கள் பின்பு நான்கு ஆண்டுகள் சிறையில் இருந்து விடுதலையாகிய பின்பு மண்டேலாவின் போராட்டம் மக்கள் போராட்டாமக சுடர்விட்டு எரிந்தது. 1960 ஆண்டு ஆபிரிக்கர்களுக்கு விசேட கடவுச்சீட்டு வழங்குவதற்கு எதிராக ஊர்வலம் ஒன்றை நடத்தினார் அந்த ஊர்வலத்தின் போது மக்கள் வெள்ளம் படை திரண்டது. இந்த வேளையில் வெள்ளைக்கார்கள் கண்மூடித்தனமாக துப்பாக்கி பிரயோகம் செய்தபோது பல நூறு மக்கள் அந்த இடத்தில் மாண்டார்கள்.போராட்டம் நடைபெற்ற அன்று 1956இல் தேசதுரோகம் குற்றம் செய்தாக, மண்டேலா உற்பட பல நூறு ஆதரவாளர்கள் கைது செய்து கொடுரமான முறையில் சிறையில் அடைக்கப்பட்டார்கள். பின்பு சில மன்னிப்பு வழங்கி 1961 அனைவயும் விடுதலை செய்தார்கள். இப்படியாக மண்டேலா தனது அறவழிப் போராட்டத்தை வெள்ளையருக்கு எதிராக தொடுத்தார். அறவழிப்போரட்டத்தின் வழி இவர்களை ஒன்றும் செய்யமுடியாது என்றதை உணர்ந்த மண்டேலாவும் அவரது அமைப்பும் போராட்டத்தை வேறுவழியில் திசை திருப்பலாம் என்பதை சிந்தித்து முடிவெடுக்கின்றார்கள். அந்த போராட்டாந்தான் ஆயுதப்போராட்டமாக மாறுகிறது.
1961 ஆண்டுஆபிரிக்க தேசிய காங்கிரஸ் என்ற அமையின் வழி ஆயுதப்போராட்டம் நடத்த திட்டம்தீட்டீனார்.இவருடைய திட்டங்கள் அதாவது ஆயுதப்போராட்டத்துக்கு வெளிநாட்டு அமைப்புக்கள் பணப்பலம் காட்டியது. இந்த உதவியோடு வெள்ளைக்காரனுக்கு எதிராக இரவோடு இரவாக இரணுவத் தலமைகள் கேந்திர முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்த இடங்களில் மண்டேலா தலைமையில் முதலாவது தாக்குதல் 1961 டிசம்பரில் நடைபெற்றது. இதை கேள்விப்பட்ட வெள்ளைக்கார மேலிடம் மண்டேலாவை உயிருடன் பிடிக்கும்படி உத்தரவு பிறப்பிக்கப்பட்டது. அதன் பின்பு மண்டேலா தலைமறைவாக தனது வாழ்க்கையை வாழந்து வந்தார்.
அதன் பின்பு மனித உரிமை அமைப்புக்கள் அமெரிக்கா போன்ற நாடுகள் மனித குலத்துக்கும் பொருட்களை சேதப்படுத்தி மக்களின் இயல்பு வாழ்க்கையை சீர்குழைத்த காரணத்துக்கா 2008ம் ஆண்டு அமெரிகாக இராஜேங்க அரசினால் பயங்கர வாதி என்ற முத்திரை குத்தப்படுகிறது.
1962 இல் மண்டேலா மறைமுகமாக வாழ்ந்து வந்த இடத்தை படைஅதிகாரிகள் இரகசிய முறையில் சுற்றி வளைத்து மண்டேலாவையும் அவரது சகாக்களையும் கைத்து செய்து சட்டத்தின் முன் நிறுத்தினார்கள். அப்போது மண்டேலாவுக்கு வயது 46 ஆகும். வெள்ளைக்கார நீதி மன்றில் மண்டேலாவுக்கு ஆயுள்தண்டனை வழங்கி தீர்ப்ர்பு அளிக்கப்டுகிறது. 27 ஆண்டுகள் தனது ஆயுள்தண்டனையை சிறையில் கழித்தார்.உலகில் மண்டேலாவைப்போல சிறை வாசம் யாரும் வாழ்ந்ததாக சரித்திரம் இல்லை.அந்தவகையில் சிறையில் வாழ்ந்த காலத்தில் பல துன்பங்களை உடலாலும் மனதாலும் வெள்ளைக்கார்கள் கொடுத்தார்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் தாங்கிகொண்டு வாழ்ந்தார்.
அவர் சிறையில் வாடும் போமு மனைவி பிள்ளைகளை பாரக்ககூடவே வெள்ளக்கார அரசு அனுமதி வழங்கவில்லை. இப்படியாக துன்பத்தை சுமந்த வண்ணம் வாழ்ந்தார் சிறையில்.
மண்டேலா சிறையில் வாடும் செய்தி காட்டுத்தீயாக உலகம் எங்கும் பறவுகிறது அவருக்கு அதரவான குரல் உலக அரங்கில் ஒலிக்கிறது மண்டேலாவை விடுதலை செய்யுங்கள் என்று அதற்கு வெள்ளைக்கார அரசு செவி சாய்க்கவில்லை. பின்பு மண்டேலாவின் மனைவின் தலமையில் தென்னாப்பிரிக்க முழுதும் வெள்ளைக்கார அரசுக்கு எதிராக கண்டன பேரணிகள் நடக்கிறது. இந்த பேரணிக்கு வெள்ளைக்கார அரசு முடிவெடித்து சொல்லுகிறது மண்டேலாவை தான்செய்த குற்றத்தை ஒப்புக்கொண்டு மக்கள் மத்தியில் மன்னிப்பு கேட்க வேண்டும் என்று சொல்லுகிறது வெள்ளைக்கார அரசு..அதற்கு மண்டேலா நான் சிறையில் எத்தனை வரும் வாழ்த்து இறந்தாலும் பிரச்சினை இல்லை மன்னிப்பு என்ற சொல்லுக்கு இடமில்லை என்று வெள்ளைக்கார அரசுக்கு சிறையில் இருந்து சொல்லுகிறார் நேரக.
தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவில் ஆட்சிமாற்றம் ஏற்பட்டடு புதிய அரசு ஆட்சிக்கு வருகிறது.. அப்போது உலக மக்கள் மண்டேலாவின் படங்களை கையில் ஏந்திய வண்ணம் விடுதலை நாளை எதிர்பார்த்தார்கள் புதிய அரசு வந்த பின்பு .
ஆப்பிரிக்க தேசிய காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் தடையை நீக்கி 11.2.1990 இல் மண்டேலா விடுதலை செய்ப்பட்டார் அவர் சிறையில் இருந்து விடுதலையாகும் போது வயது 71 ஆகும் மண்டேலா விடுதலையாகிய நிகழ்வு உலகெங்கும் பல ஊடகங்களில் நேரடி ஒளிபரப்பு செய்ப்பட்டது. இதை அறிந்த உலகத்தலைவர்கள் நெல்சன் மண்டேலாவை வரவேற்க தென்னாட்டு காந்தி பிறந்த மண்ணில் குழு உருவாக்கப்பட்டு வரவேற்க தயாராக இருந்தார்கள். மண்டேலா சிறையில் இருந்து வெளியே வரும் போது தென்னாப்பிரிக்கா மக்கள் இன்முகத்துடன் வரவேற்றார்கள்.
1994 இல் மக்களாட்சி தேர்தல் நடைபெற்றது அதன் போது…..மண்டேலாவே அதிபாராக ஆனார் மொழிகளால் சிதைவுண்டு கிடந்த தென்னாபிரிக்காவில் உடனடியாக அமுலுக்கு வரும்படி பாடசாலைகளில். தமிழ் தெலுங்கு.இந்தி குஜராத்தி உருது. போன்ற மொழிகள் கற்பிக்கப்பட்டது.
அதன் பின்பு சர்வதேச அளவில் நோமல் பரிசு பெற்று 1999ம் ஆண்டு வரை கறுப்பின மக்களுக்கு ஜனாதிபதியாக பதவி வகித்தார் மண்டேலாவின் அழுமை திறமையை கண்டு உலகமும் மக்களும் வியந்தது மீண்டும் ஜனாதிபதியாக வரவேண்டும் என்று மக்கள் அழைப்பு விடுத்தார்கள் அவர் அதை ஏற்கவில்லை.
2013ம் அண்டு மண்டேலாவின் உடல் நலம் கவலைக்கிடமாக இருந்த நிலையில் மருத்துவமனைக்கு கொண்டு சென்றார்கள் என்ன செய்வது மரணம் யாரை விட்டு வைத்து 2013 டிசம்பர் 5ம் திகதி 95 வயதில் மரணம் அடைந்தார்.
